Swiss National Museum Landesmuseum Zurich, Museumstrasse 2, ZurichAt the border. A few individuals showed civil courage by protecting Jewish refugees who had succeeded in illegally entering Switzerland from Austria in 1938/39. Very few made it over the border. Plaque commemorating refugees, helpers and those turned back at the Swiss-Austrian border, Diepoldsau.
Refuge. This is where Anne-Marie Piguet and other escape helpers hid 14 mainly Jewish women, children and teenagers who had fled occupied France. «Hôtel d’Italie», a forestry workers’ hut in Le Brassus.
